Using one platform

Stream to Twitch and YouTube at the same time, and more!

One of the most frequently asked questions is, What job do I have to choose? The answer I usually give is Twitch or youtube Gaming, but there are many good ones in other services like hitbox, Mixer (beampro), and a few others. My answer is usually based on the editor’s intent, but with the restream.IO service, there is no longer any reason to choose a particular broadcaster.

With restream.IO you can stream to more than 30 streaming platforms quickly and easily. The advantage of such a service is that it does not place restrictions on your computer equipment or your bandwidth. Basically, you send your stream to restream.IO servers, which will send it to all platforms of your choice.

With the redesign and extension of the restream Chat app, which integrates all your chat messages into one easy-to-use program, a must-have for any newer. We will talk more about restream Chat in another post you can read here.

Stream at the same time with one platform

How to stream on twitch and YouTube at the same time

To get started, head over to restream.io and create an account. Once your account is created, you will have the option to add a channel.

Click Add Channel and you will be presented with all supported platforms. As you can see, the list is quite long: Twitch youtube Gaming, beampro, and over 25 others. If you scroll down a bit further down, you can even see the option to add dubbing as well as stream to a custom RTMP. For now, try adding Twitch and Hitbox.

Before I continue, I want to clarify that I have already created accounts on Twitch and Hitbox, as well as the other services I plan to add, so if you don’t have an account on these different platforms, make sure you create each account before continuing.

The great thing about restream is that adding a channel works the same on almost all platforms. Click the service you want to add, click connect, then authorize it. To do this, you may need to log in to the platform. Once you’ve added a channel, you can click the Add Channel button on the top right again to choose additional services.

For any new streamer, I recommend starting with Twitch, youtube Gaming, hitbox, and beampro. Once all the channels have been added, you will notice that you can edit your Stream title (currently for youtube and Twitch only) right here.

Upgrade restream.io with OBS Studio

How to stream on twitch and YouTube at the same time

Flowing to Twitch and youtube at the same time, we need to configure OBS Studio to continue to restream.io. To do this, let’s select a server near our site to the right of our restream dashboard. In my case, I chose Dallas, Texas. Click on the Flow key paragraph and follow this entire string. If you want to reset your key, the refresh button will work for you.

With OOBS Studio open, let’s go to settings and click on the flow tab. From the drop-down list, select restream.IO, then compare the server with the one you selected in the restream dashboard. Next, paste in your stream key. Click Apply, then OK to close the settings … And that’s it! You can leave some obs Studio settings unchanged. They can set up the same as if you are rotating directly to Twitch. If you need help with this, watch this video Once I hit the start button, restream tries to connect to all the subscribed services and display their status – whether connected, online, or free.

As I mentioned in this post, they also have a plan to collect all your talking messages from each channel you added – we’ll look into this in another post in more detail. Basically, once you install the app, run it, and log in, you’ll see your message in one place – we can add it to the OSS Studio.

Are there any disadvantages?

For the last part of this article, I would like to address one of my concerns about using a service like this.

As for the reliability of restream, i’ve only had a short time to test this service, and it’s been excellent so far. My test involved streaming on Twitch and youtube at the same time for a while.

It is possible that the service is interrupted for maintenance reasons, that the servers are overloaded, that there are problems with the apis of the platforms or that the service does not work for other reasons. In an emergency, you can prepare to connect directly to the platform of your choice.

I’ve also noticed that it sometimes takes a while to connect to all services at once, so it’s recommended to use some kind of intro screen until all your channels are upline. The delay actually seems quite reasonable, since it took about 8-10 seconds for my stream site to show up on Twitch or youtube.

Lastly, if you are a Twitch Partner Streamer, you may not be able to stream across multiple platforms, subject to your agreement with Twitch. If you want to stream on Twitter and YouTube at the same time, this service is for you!

However, this program really impressed me. Last time I found something easy to use and well-designed with Discord. Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions about launching this program, or even how you have used it so far.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY STREAM ON FACEBOOK GAMING?

Streaming is an ever-evolving and growing field. Moreover, with a gaming industry forecast of over two hundred billion dollars by 2022, revenue is steadily increasing.

With Facebook Gaming becoming an increasingly accessible place for streamers, there’s a lot of money to be made, so finding out how to make money streaming on Facebook Gaming is a good place to start. For that, we will immediately see ten ways to make money on Facebook Gaming:

Facebook In-Stream Ads

  • Collaborations with brands on Facebook
  • Facebook Fan Subscriptions
  • Donations
  • Sale of derivative products
  • By betting on matches
  • Host tournaments or special events
  • With Affiliate Programs
  • Sponsorship
  • Uploading to other platforms

For streaming ads, brand collaborations, and fan subscriptions, you need to set them up in the Facebook Creator Studio. First, you need to set up a Page on your Facebook account and this is where you will be able to access the Page Monetization screen. We’ll talk about monetization strategies below, along with the requirements for certain monetization strategies.

In-Stream Ads are short ads that you can insert into videos once you qualify. These advertisements generate revenue each time they are viewed and used. You must meet certain criteria and eligibility requirements in order to take advantage of this earning potential. For any monetization on Facebook, you must first follow Facebook’s guidelines. This includes not posting content that is obscene, illegal, derogatory, etc.

Eligibility Criteria For In-Stream Ads

To be eligible to serve streaming ads, your page must meet the following criteria: 10,000 followers AND 30,000 views lasting one minute. This is a 3-minute video.

Collaborations With Brands On Facebook

Collaborating with a brand is a great way to start making money earlier in your Facebook gaming career. The number of followers required is lower than other Facebook video revenue streams.

Sometimes a brand sees your videos or streams and wants to associate with you. Maybe she wants you to wear a hat with her logo on it and talk about her products. When brands want to work with you, they collaborate, and it’s a powerful way to generate massive revenue when you have an audience.

It is enough that this audience has watched a few videos and made a few comments. These numbers may seem tedious to achieve, but it’s not as difficult as you might think.

Eligibility Criteria For Collaborations With Brands

To be eligible to participate in a brand collaboration, you must meet the following criteria. These criteria will be displayed in the Facebook Creator Studio for all the pages you want to monetize on the platform. 1,000 followers AND one of the following criteria: 15,000 post engagements OR 180,000-minute views OR 30,000 one-minute views for a 3-minute video.

Facebook Fan Subscriptions

Registration is a way to earn a daily income from a group of loyal followers. These top fans sign up for your videos and streams. They pay a monthly fee and you get a portion of what they pay. Registration is under strict conditions to be eligible, but Facebook just needs to make sure the content is relevant. So make your rivers count. Make it fun and useful.

Fan Membership Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for membership on the Facebook game console, you must perform certain modes. This can also be found on the Facebook Creator Studio page of each page on Facebook. Just click on the monetization tab and you will see the status. 10,000 followers AND 50,000 post engagements OR 180,000 minutes checked.

Star Donations

Facebook’s game streaming system makes it easy to make money. When someone looks at a stream, there is usually an option to give them a “star”. These stars are worth a few cents (85 for € 0.82). If someone wants your stream, they can give you a star. It’s like street players with a hat if a pitcher is available for advice. If you see what they are doing funny, you can throw another change in their hat or pot. A star is like a coin, so do not dry it and give people a star to help them. [Helpful Link Here]

The Sale Of Derivative Products

It does not appear in any of Facebook’s guidelines, at least not at the time of this writing, that Facebook has rules against selling your own products through stream or video.

There are strict guidelines that prohibit the solicitation of commitments. It’s very different from YouTube where, in each video, someone asks you to go like their video or subscribe to their channel, etc. As long as you follow Facebook’s guidelines, you can even sell your products on Facebook’s platform. If you have a brand image or logo that people really like or if you have a good following, you will see that people will want to buy your hats, t-shirts, and merchandise. You might even get custom-printed mouse pads for sale. There are all kinds of possibilities with print-on-demand.

Place Bets

A nifty way to make money from those who follow your channel is to place a bet with them. In the case of Facebook games, you could bet stars that someone who joined you in the game can do this or that. If he can’t, he has to pay you x number of stars. Remember that stars are almost $0.01 and Facebook pays you every time someone gives you a star.

Add a daily bet match to your live stream to add content and entertainment while giving you an extra way to earn some cash.

However, Facebook has separate rules regarding engagement solicitation. And that might just be against the rules. So using another platform to bet while streaming on Facebook seems like the only stable alternative.

Organize Tournaments Or Special Events

HOW TO MAKE MONEY STREAM ON FACEBOOK GAMING?

When you start to have a good audience on your streams, especially if a lot of people are getting involved, you can organize special events or tournaments.

For these events, you can impose participation fees and limit the number of places. This will help boost engagement as your loyal fans will rush to participate. The more loyal fans you have, the higher the participation fee you can charge. You can then post the live event video to all your other channels to entice people to register for the next event.

Affiliate Programs

Streamers often partner with affiliate programs that allow them to get a share of the sale of certain products.

For example, maybe you are a partner in an affiliate program that gives you 10% every time someone purchases a microphone using your unique affiliate link.

Put this link in your description and BOOM! Now every time someone uses your link to buy this mic, you get a small share. There are tons of affiliate programs out there, so it shouldn’t be hard to find one that fits your editorial line well.

Sponsorship

Once you’ve built up a large enough audience, you’ll start to attract the attention of big companies who want you to help promote them. They may ask you to endorse their gaming product or wear their branded shirt or hat during your live streams. Sponsors can allow you to acquire new equipment and earn money.

Consider testing gaming products as a sideline to your main live stream. You can add a 30-second clip to your live stream in which you say you are going to test new equipment during the live stream.

Companies will want to send you their latest gaming-related products for you to approve. And you can make them pay dearly for those 30 seconds in the spotlight. It’s a win-win situation for you.

Cross-Platform Videos

A great way to leverage your streams is to record streams and make videos of them. You can then upload your videos to your other platform channels.

YouTube

HOW TO MAKE MONEY STREAM ON FACEBOOK GAMING?

YouTube has a huge number of viewers. It takes work to get established, so why not get a head start by reusing your Facebook feeds to create videos you can post to a YouTube channel?

This is an easy way to regularly post new videos to YouTube with minimal effort. And if you stream regularly, you can easily build a collection of videos on a YouTube channel.
